NEWSFLASH! Did you guys know that Titanic had 2 sisters? Titanic and Olympic: Britannic: Then Britannic was converted to this: perso.wanadoo.fr/titanic/images/britannic2.jpgOlympic was used to ferry troops to England during WW1 from America. She was scrapped between WW1 AND WW2 because she had sunk 1 battleship 1 German U-2 submarine and and lighthouse ship! Britannic probably sank like Titanic, I saw a pic of a diver looking at Britannic:

I remember watching the movie, and the over-playing of that Celine Dion Song, "My heart Will Go On"

Yeah, I just got a model of Titanic today, she needs a repaint and refit, and some dusting. I will post pics soon.

I got the pics uploaded now. If Titanic hadn't split in 2, maybe they could have refloated it, did Britannic Split too? Or did she just sink.

Yeah, she must've gone down fast, because a crew change was happening, and therefore the watertight doors were all open.

She would have been picking up wounded ANZAC's from Gallipoli. I was first thinking Salonika, but when your mentioned the down-under's, it had to be Gallipoli.
It's interesting that originally Churchill & Fisher wanted to do a major battleship bombardment of the Dardanelles.....but I guess that they didn't want to risk all those Dreadnaughts in one small area.
Gallipoli is unique to the Great-War's tragedies....because the allies can't blame their losses on Douglas Haig !

The Titanic had her doors closed. she sank because the door did not extend past a certain deck, os at the ship filled with water, they just poured into the next compartment, and onward. untill the ship sank

Britannic did indeed hit a mine, however a lot of the damage in that drawing was caused by the impact when she hit the bottom. The damage from the mine is buried under the ship on the starboard side. Apparently they figure the achilles heel of the Olympic class ships were the cavernous engine rooms, once they flooded it was pretty much a given that the ship was going down.
