Is flying any cheaper to go across then?(In Europe) To go from Vancouver to Nanaimo is like $75 one way, and then there's still vehicle rental if you need it. But if you take the ferry with your car it comes out to around $40 one way with one person and car. I would have no idea how those prices are compared to the Euro. But even though it can get you across the Strait of Georgia in like 20 minutes, it's kind of not worth it. But I guess if I was in Europe, I would fly to avoid all of the traffic conjestions. But then again I have never been there (yet), and I haven't ever flown in a plane before. I think the 8M cars and the 22M passengers should be a bit less because so many people commute from the Island to Vancouver weekly or even daily. Do they get counted as another person who travels on a ferry each time, or is it some type of random estimate?
