Here's something I found on the Telus Homepage: MONTREAL (CP) - Following its inaugural summer season in 2005, Inuit-owned Cruise North Expeditions has added capacity with a larger ship for its Arctic itineraries this year. The 122-passenger ship Orlova will cruise Arctic waters from June 26 to Sept. 4. Cruises are priced from $3,595 per person (double occupancy). Passengers booking by Feb. 15 will receive a discount of $500 per couple, the company said in a news release. Packages include a two- hour, 15-minute Arctic Air flight from Montreal to the Inuit village of Kuujjuaq, Que. "Each expedition offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife encounters," the company says. Polar bears were sighted on every cruise in the 2005 season. Also seen regularly were muskox, whales, seals and caribou. Another experience is "the collective screech of a half-million penguin-like thick-billed murres." The cruises feature lectures by naturalists, historians, geologists and ornithologists. Cruise North is owned by Makivik Corp., which also owns First Air and Air Inuit. Details on Cruise North itineraries are available through travel agents or by visiting www.cruisenorthexpeditions.com.
