One thing that I've noticed about the forum and its members is that, there isn't a official meeting/get togethers with the exception of meeting on the ferries. I understand that the one point of this is to be on the ferries, what about watching them?? The Trolls is one of the best places to be watching them and having a good time at the same time. Most clubs have their own "lodges" So, who is to say we can't have our own? Obviously, the ferries is the lodge, but not all of us can afford to be onboard them all time. Anyways, I am just expressing my observations.

Thanks for the suggestion, deepsea.
Sometimes we'll arrange trips to spend the day watching the Ferries. The summer is usually the best time for this, and we'll go to either Mayne or Galiano Island, and spend the day on the Beach.
I noticed on the E&N forum, most of the members will actually meet for coffee at different members homes either once a month, or once a week to discuss the latest E&N train going ons.. I can't remember how often they do that though, so perhaps Tyler W might know.
While it would be neat if we did that, alot of us are quite spaced out around the province, so I don't think we'd get much of a turnout of members. But going to Trolls is certainly a good option, and using the money we'd spend on Ferry fare, for food instead.
We also try to make these trips as affordable as possible, especially for students like myself with a tight buget, and owning a money pit of a car. So this is why we try to carpool, to split the costs. The circlepac trip, a day trip on 4 different Ferry routes throughout the day, costs a car and driver about $170.00, which includes fuel, food and Ferry Fare and a 15% discount that BC Ferries offers to do the circle route. So if that were a carpool with say 4 people riding in the same vehicle, and all four people put $55 into a pot to cover fuel and ferry fare, plus another 20 bucks for food, you have a pretty good deal compared to what it would cost to do by yourself.

The last few times I've gone there, no one has shown up though.

My friend's grandfather owns Trolls, it is a good spot to meet. Easy for me to get to.

My friend's grandfather owns Trolls, it is a good spot to meet. Easy for me to get to. But difficult for me to get to. I only got to go to HSB today because the CR was in Nanaimo for the open ship--mind you, I didn't disembark when we docked at HSB today. If it was any other day, I would not be able to go to Trolls for a ferry-geek meetup.
