The reservation system for BCFS has the first listing of the CI on Sunday June 1 from Duke Point at 10:15 A.M. Let's look at the logistics and possibilities of making this trip. [modified to fix title, at writer's request]

Aarg! I made a typo in the title of this thread. How do I correct it? Or does it take a moderator to change inagural to inaugural?

That button on the right-hand side of your screen, on the post, says "modify". That will let you modify the title or the content or both. I've done this for you; but you can easily do it too; next time. PS: your thread title is at the max length, and to fit the extra "u" into the title, I had to shorten the word "from" to "frm".

I will 99% be there, unless it's the final day of service for another ferry, or my energy levels are low.

Thank you. I've made the modification. Nothing's set in stone until concensus of course though

If she arrives by the end of March (seems likely)... are they going to wait through all of April and all of May before putting her in service in June? That's almost as long as they waited with the Coastal Renaissance.

Well, there are still the nine steps the CI has to go through before going into service: - Customs inspection
- Physical inspection
- TC certification
- Official handover
- Registration and re-flagging
- Interior cleaning
- Wavebreaker removal
- Provisioning
- Crew training

I thought the crew training had been done already?

But there will still be the same amount of time between the CI's arrival and start of service, like there was with the CR; three months. And besides, BCF'll need to train a new crew for the CI because the crew that trained on the CR is still working on board the CR.

I thought that one of our insiders had told us on here that she'll enter service on May 19th? Remember that the CR was listed on the RBI for April 1st originally, and look what happened.

Yeah I thought the RBI date was kind of a worst case scenario kind of thing. Also didn't they train both the crew for the CR and the CI on the CR.
Cheers,

If the Coastal Inspiration comes online on May 19, that would be perfect as that is my 30th birthday LOL
