Likely obvious from my lack of posts in this thread, but I should formally "Opt-out" as I have an overwhelming schedule in the next month or so and can't afford to miss too much work!

I've purchased the Sailpass for myself, Queen of Esquimalt, and Mill Bay today. I went down to my local Visitor Info center, which is a BCF Sailpass dealer, to get the pass. It came to about $202 to cover the 3 of us. They also said that if I needed to add another person, I could do so at the Ferry terminal. I'm going to try and enquire about Motel rooms tomorrow during my lunch break.

I have booked my room at the motel for Saturday night. They are wide open the whole week so you shouldent have problems getting rooms.

Chris is there still room for me in your car? I just got my taxes back and I got a crap-load back. I am no longer broke.
So if there is still room I would meet you at HSB for the 8:30 am on Saturday. I pay my portion of the sailpass fee, throw in some cash for gas, and then you are booking the rooms today on your break. I don't mind sharing a room with someone else. To tell you the truth I'm happy sleeping on the floor, with a foamy and sleeping bag.
Hopefully it isn't to late and I'm not creating a bunch of problems.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Cheers,

If you wanted to join me and Scott in the evening Scott has lots of room but we are going on the 7:15pm to Powell River as he has to work till about 5 or so. But I know he has lots of room. Let me or him know if you want to do that. Cause I think Chris's car is getting pretty full, lol! Me and Scott will be purchasing circlepacs.

Cad, I will have to see if Skier is going on his own since he is doing a trip Sunday. If he is taking his own vehicle, I will have one free space.

Alright. I'm going up both days now, but not participating in the Sunshine Coast portion on Day 2. I should be on the 12:45 pm Queen of Alberni out of Duke Point.

Hey guys sorry, but I really would like to go with Chris if I can as the Tsawwassen Adventure he has planned seems way more dense than yours. Also it is more convenient to meet him at HSB. I will keep my options open until we hear from Chris.

Hey Cadmunkey,
I saw your post from this morning of you wanting to tag along with me, when I came online during my lunch break. I was trying to figure out how many rooms to book, and how many people will be spending the night. So you said something right on time, as just minutes later I made the booking.
To everyone else spending the night in Powell River
I've reserved 3 rooms, for 7 of us. One room with two beds will be for Dan and his mother, if they haven't already booked (I wasn't sure if you had done this yet Dan, so I counted you in just in case you haven't). I then reserved a second room with 2 beds and a cot, so 3 people can sleep in that room. Then the final two people have another room with two beds. I'm supposed to call them back again on Friday to confirm our final plans. So I'd appreciate some input on what I've booked, so I know whether or not I'll have to adjust it at all by Friday. I believe the cost for the 3 rooms came to be about $244, at about $80/room
Also Cadmunkey....I'll have to try and get a hold of Graham and Doug to see if there's an update on their confirmation, as I've told them I'll reserve a seat in my car in case either one of those two don't end up coming. If either Doug or Graham end up riding with me, I can see about borrowing my roomates Ford Explorer for the weekend for extra capacity, as it's a tight squeeze for me to have 4 people in my car. Tight, yet it's possible.

Cheers, Cadmunkey, if you're going along too, we might now want to consider combining transport again to Horseshoe Bay, just so that one of us can save some gas and parking money. Sounds like we might be getting pretty comfy in Chris's car too .

Actually we've been talking in MSN. I think I am going to go with Doug. He is leaving on the 7:45 out of Tsawwassen and then meeting up Chris at HSB and following his itinerary, so I am going to his place and leaving my truck there I think. We've been thinking about the comfy factor.
So unless you wanna get up even earlier than you had originally thought and drop me off at Doug's, I don't think carpooling is the best option for us far east guys.
Cheers,

Okay, I'm Not in the Clear Just Yet, But I'm Thinking I'll Take the 12:00 from Powell River and Back on the 3:15 from Comox. If anyone wants to Join for a Trip on the NIP on the 5:40 Sailing from PR, that can be arranged. I'm still questioning if I should Join on the Jervis Inlet Leg of the Trip.

Thanks for the invite, Ship Rider. But a trip to Texada on the mentioned sailing is already in the plan, once we get settled into our rooms at the Motel. So the Powell River part of the trip in the evening will be similar to the 2006 year. Although, it's not decided yet if we'll come directly back to Powell River, or miss a sailing and then come back. Some of us will have been on 5 Ferries by that point, so I think we'll be Ferry Fried for the day. I'd also like to mention a miscount on my part, for how many rooms/people to reserve for. I've booked 3 rooms to be spread out over 7 people. The 7 people I had in mind at the time were: Myself, Cadmunkey, Dan, Dans Mother, Scott, Queen of Esquimalt, Mill Bay. But then I realized I forgot to book a room for Doug, and Retro. So I'll look into booking a 4th room for two people to share, getting rid of the need for the cot in one of the rooms.
But I'd like to hear an updated response from Retro on his situation, so I know whether or not to book another room for him, or keep the cot in one of the rooms.
Also, if anyone I've mentioned about booking rooms for would like their own room, please let me know ASAP so I can adjust that as well. At this point, at least everyone will be sharing a room with someone.
You have until Friday Morning at 8:00am to let me know, as I must phone the Motel back that day to confirm our plans, so they can prepare for us. If you don't resond, I'll assume you've sorted out the situation yourself, or you don't plan on coming anymore. You snooze, you lose!

All Systems Are Go for Me. I'll be taking the 12:00 on the Tsawwassen Over and then meet you guys at Little River I'll either be on the Beach or in the Waiting Room depending on weather conditions. Then we'll board the Tsawwassen back and go from there.
I'm still up in the Air about Sunday on the 3:20 from Saltery Bay. It depends on if any of you have space in your cars and If my parents want to drive all the way out to Saltery Bay to pick me up after the trip.

I'm good to go too, as all my systems similarly are. I'll be there to take in this recounting of what I'd consider an historic group trip we made a few years ago. I, as I can imagine many of you who plan to attend are, am quite looking forward to a repeat of such an historic ferry pilgrimage.

Ok, so I'm assuming all of you are happy with the motel arrangements, and sharing rooms, except for Retro and Karl. I'll be making the confirmation phone call today to the motel, and will be adding another room on top of the 3 that I've booked. This is because I forgot to add Doug to the list, and we can get the third person in one of the rooms who would have been sleeping on a cot to go to the 4th room. So to sum it up in a way everyone will understand, I'm booking enough rooms for 8 of us to share. 2 people per room with their own bed.
Doug, Cadmunkey, and Retro will be sailing on the 7:45am Queen of Cowichan out of Tsawwassen to go to Duke Point.
Myself, Mill Bay, Queen of Esquimalt, Political Incorrectness, PI's mother, and NewFlyer will be on the 8:30am Coastal Renaissance from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay.
Now, we must decide whether or not to absolutely boot it up Island, taking some steep risks, to get to Buckley Bay to make the 11:00am sailing to Denman. Otherwise I think it might be wise to take our time, and catch the following sailing to Denman. This allows us all to meet at Sugarloaf Mountain to see the Coastal Renaissance leave Departure Bay? Some food for thought for today anyway.

Just a question,
if we are going to Denman (which it appears to be), are we connecting to Hornby also?
