I feel BCF should decorate a ferry like a C, or S-Class for the holiday season anybody ever thought of this idea it would look great at night with lights on it

I agree, It would look so cool to see Christmas lights up on a ferry.

Yeah I would love to see them do that but how would they put them on the ferry and preventing them from falling off in the wind but i guess you could hang them off the handrails

How would it stay? i would think it would fly away in the first big gust. the Albion ferries dont move cause they top out @ 8 Knots.

It's actually red christmas lights in the shape of a star. Up on the mast. They would be tied down so they dont blow off.

Actaully I have seen previous years the Mayne Queen had a christmas tree up in front of the Snack Bar area and also I have seen a christmas tree on the Queen of Cumberland opposite the end with elevator. I thought I also saw christmas trees on the Spirit's too. That's all the christmas stuff I have seen on the ferries!

I remember going on Queen of Oak Bay from DPB-HSB just before Christmas in the year 2000 and they had a Christmas tree nicely decorated at the Nanaimo end of the ship and of course the direction we were going was the stern end and so it was vibrating alot and all of the decorations looked like they were going to fall off.

That Christmas tree garb on Route 2 is standard, Cowichan and Coquitlman both have it, including BC Ferries garland.

Once Ferry service a few years ago on Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay was cancelled on Christmas Day. Or it was delayed I forget it was awhile ago

I am down at the inner harbour quite frequently here in Victoria and the little harbour ferries that do harbour tours were all decorated for the holiday season. Decorations all around, tinsel around the boats and and a little christmas tree sitting up top at the back, they looked really neat. Just thought ya might like to know!
I also see the toll booths at Swartz Bay all have little individual reaths or whatever you call them. Does any other major terminal have them??? I havent been on the ferries over the holidays so I wouldent know.

Those look like neat pictures on that site. It looks like the crew on Queen of Burnaby stayed on her Christmas night to a turkey feast after the sailings for the run were done, I wonder if that happened on any other ferry.

Yeah I was wondering about that myself what that was all about. Looked like some kind of Christmas dinner. Hmm, I bet there were lots of good choices in the buffets on Christmas Day and the days before and after Christmas.
