What do you want them to do with the northern routes?

They should keep Queen of the North and Prince Rupert up there and Queen of Chilliwack down here doing Gulf Island Routes or maybe as a second vessel between Comox and Powell River

They need two vessels year round they need a replacement for the Queen of the North to do Port Hardy Prince Rupert (with mid coast stops).Retire the QPR use the Queen of the North for Prince Rupert Queen Charlottes

As I understand it, the Haida Gwaii route doesn't need the Queen of the North's extra capacity.
The notion put forward of the Queen of Chillwack being a Gulf Islands ferry is an excellent one, and I consider it meritous. Keep the QPR where she is, and combine the "discovery coast passage" route with Port Hardy-Prince Rupert. Now that would be a great trip! Best milk run ever.

I think it's best to have a faster boat similar in design to the trans Atlantic Catamaran operating on the Queen Charlotte Islands route, to make service more frequent on this route, and then have one vessel do the the Discovery Coast and the Inside passage on one route
