I thought it was an excellent idea. I wouldn't use it normally however I might try it out sometime.

I don't usually use pay per use lounges, but I might give it try when I get onto the SOBC next.

It's a good idea for people who want a quiet place to relax and have a coffee and a snack. I dont think I would ever use it as I would just use one the regular lounges if I was relaxing otherwise I just wonder around the ship during the trip.

It's a rip, like common, how musch coffee and pastry are you going to shove down your throught in an hour in a half, most people a muffin and a coffee will suffice, basically you pay to get to sit in a room. It may be a bit quieter but it really isn't that loud on the ferries even on a busy trip.

I'm sure some of you folks have a whole list of reasons why you don't like the lounge, but here's a list of how it really can be worthwile, and even pay its way: -Starbucks coffee (one cup normally costs $1.71 retail) -Newspapers ($.75 to $1.50, depending on the day; also, you can take more than one, and they have the whole range, right wing to left wing, National Post to Globe and mail (And all the major locals)) -Pastries (the banana bread alone goes for something like over $2.00 at the caff... so keep on going back for more (as to not look like a pig taking 5 at once), and make a breakfast out of it) -High-Back comfortable chair with LOTS of leg room (and a little side table): You have the choice between stationary or reclining, both of which you could fall asleep in if you want. -And last, but not least: No loud kids, and because it's not extremely popular yet, not many crowds. All I have to say is 'Try it before you knock it.'

The people who want it can use it, and the people who don't, can choose not to, of course. I think it's a pretty decent idea. You never know when you'll be fed up with some whiny kid, and then you can just pay the SMALL fee, and *BAM*, silence.
