The West Coast Ferries Forum is now running on the new Proboards version 4.5 software. FYI, the following are some of the new features that are available to our staff and our members:

I had a quick question.
With this new upgrade, I get the "new reply" symbol next to just about every thread that has been active in the past month or so. Is there any way to get rid of those, short of clicking on every thread to say it's been read?

You can click the lovely "mark as read" button in the individual boards or at the bottom of the main page

The 'quote' format with name, time and box seems to have disappeared. Is that permanent?

Why is it that when I'm not logged in, the post times are off by two hours?

For some reason guests are seeing the forum as if it is in the Eastern timezone. I have tried changing it but it doesn't seem to want to be anything other than EST.
We'll try to get this fixed ASAP.

Sheesh. I guess being a moderator isn't the bed of roses everyone thinks it is; you guys even work on your birthdays.

I've just tried changing (and I practically have full admin powers) and it is definitely a ProBoards Issue. There is nothing we can do except wait for the Proboards tech guys to fix the problem.

If you want REAL time, move out here to BC Ah ha...now that we have procured the proboards' clock, we have adjusted it to the real REAL time. You can expect an associated revision to your alarm clocks soon...then we will see who's whining...

The issue with the forum time should now be resolved...
