I am needing to be in Richmond by 2:15. If I take into account not getting lost on the Drive from the Ferry to Richmond is it feasible to get the 10:15 ferry and make it there on time? Any idea how early to be there to catch this ferry? I will be taking my small car over. Thanks

Welcome aboard, "dontmakemedrive".
With my past experience, I usually like to arrive at the terminal at least 30 to 45 mins before scheduled departure. The 10:15am sailing should get you to Tsawwassen by 12:15pm, and you would probably be driving into Richmond by at least 12:45pm.
If you plan to do this trip on a Friday/Sunday/Holiday, then you might want to arrive at the terminal no later than an hour before the sailing.
Good luck!

30 minutes from the terminal to richmond sounds reasonable. aslong as the tunnel is good. but you will have lots of time if you are on the 1015 from duke

Thanks, this wil be my first time driving in Vancouver and I have to hit Richmond then head to North Van and the following day from North Van to Burnaby area. My navigator is only 10 so any information I get before hand its greatly appreciated. I will arrive early since it is Friday of the May long weekend then. and with what you have told me I shouldn't have any problems making it to Richmond by two. Thanks for the help.

To get to Richmond, I would say take 99 North through the tunnel, and get off at the appropriate exit. If you are heading for East Richmond, take the exit for 91 south and get off at Knight Street or Westminster Highway. To get to North Vancouver, I suggest taking the Knight Street Bridge, right on Marine and left on Boundary to Highway 1, get on the freeway Westbound, over the Second Narrows and into North Vancouver. To get to Burnaby, take Highway 1 Eastbound, over the Second Narrows, into Burnaby, and get off at the appropriate exit. Hope this helps.

To get to North Vancouver, I suggest taking the Knight Street Bridge, right on Marine and left on Boundary to Highway 1, get on the freeway Westbound, over the Second Narrows and into North Vancouver. Some locals may give you directions which differ from the above, but as some one who lives in North Van and works in Richmond I can vouch this is the fastest route no matter where in Richmond you're starting and where on the North Shore you're ending - the traffic chaos of downtown makes no other routes even mildly competitive.
