It is a day to celebrate indeed!
I've been a member here for almost 4 years now and a moderator for 2 and a half years. I've watched this forum grow from only 25 members in October 2004 to almost 300 now. I have watched the regular members grow with it too
I have seen this community go through fun times and I've seen it through rough times. Everything from TOOGABOOGA to Kyle Fossett. I've seen thousands of photo guessing games and flagship votes.
I'd like to give a big thanks to all the members who have made this forum the great community it is now. If it wasn't for all of you, this community wouldn't be where it is today. We are an active community where great discussion and debates occur. Awesome photos are posted by many members. Many historical facts are found here.
All of this is here because of every member of this community.
Even though we all share in common interest here, we all are diverse and we all come from different backgrounds...
We have a Piano Player from Nanaimo
A guy who plays a flugel horn and loves numbers
there's the roofer from Squamish who loves his ferry horns
of course there's a north shore skier and biker who keeps things real
the kid that looks like he could be north shore skier dude's little brother who likes transit stuff
oh and of course there's the all-caps screamer from Bremerton...
And of course there's one very important guy who created this forum and he really hits the hammer on the mark...
We're all diverse but we all like our ferry trips.

It's interesting that you can identify so many different members of the forum simply by their major interests or aptitudes. I would say, finding your place on the forum is like finding your place in the world. Some follow their strengths, some stand out boldly, some hide in the back row quietly, some are bullies, some are the ultimate friend to all and some just hold everyone enthralled by sheer strength of character.
