Welcome to the new West Coast Ferries Forum (default skin, that is).To experience the full effect of the new graphics, please go into your profile and select Modify Profile. Once in there, scroll 3/4 of the way down and change your skin to default (bottom option). Coastal Skier and I have been working behind the scenes on this skin for a couple weeks now. We hope that you enjoy the new look! ;D We would like to thank DENelson83 for kindly providing our new and old post images that show on the main page of the forum. Thanks, Dave..! If you have any questions, please let us know.

You are quite welcome. But can you also make my icons visible on the "Default - Blue & White" skin? 'Cuz that's the skin I usually use. Thanks.
Moderator Edit:
Done.

It all really "pop"s. As much as the former incarnation grew one me, I can actually say that I like this one just as much. Great job!

I much prefer black type on a light background, so I'll be sticking with that format. Easier on the eyes than reverse type, I find. Anyway, nothing wrong with layout schemes to suit every taste.
p.s.- I'm finding that in using the 'Westcoast ferries bright' format now, many of the quotes are missing their authors.

The knock out white type is ok on my laptop to read. High constrast is important for readability and as long as the colours are dark it should be ok. The older the reader the more important it is to have the type itself dark, bold as possible and on background that is as plain as possible. Since people can choose their own options the forum seems to cover all the basis.
I like the blues and greens - echos the colours of the ocean so appropriate in my mind.
As an asside, if you ever have someone you know with reading difficulty due to failing eyesight or impairment you can check out the CNIB websight. They have all sorts of tips and products to help.

Hey, I just said I preferred black on white, I don't think I have to call the CNIB quite yet....

Congratulations!! I might be old but no problem with the white type. All in all the colours are pleasant, easy on the eyes, and evocative of the Pacific Northwest. I like it.

Took a bit of adjustment but otherwise a very nice job guys. The final picture is quite nice.
The only thing that bothers me is that the Dogwood in the "C" of the WCF logo isn't white.
