Thanks to all those who voted.
#2 - Deas Dock lineup will be the flagship for October 2008.
Jim: at some point this month, can you ask David what his recollections are of that photograph and the circumstances by which he took it.
Thanks.

Pleased to see that even if the Tsawwassen vote hadn't been split, the Deas photo still won... I wanted the Suzy Q, mind. ;D

I paid good money to the private-investigator who followed you around and waited until you were away from your computer, and then instantly messaged me to tell me to act-now. I'm glad that my plan worked. My original flagship thread for October said that voting would be from the evening of Sept.29 to the evening of Sept. 30....and I posted that on September 1st.

Actually, i'm beginning to think there is a private-investigator following me around with the way I keep getting banned on random computers, especially when I'm at the home of friends or family. I had been anticipating the voting starting in the evening, but when it came time to login, the computer I had was banned and then I was away the next day without access to a computer.

Mill Bay I would be suspicious of Donella. I think since you didn't take her up on her offer of playing dress up in her BC Ferries clothing she is behind it. By getting you banned on so many computers she is hoping you will get so bored you will give in. ;D Just sayin. I didn't vote because I couldn't really make up my mind. The winning one though was one of the two finalists and is historic for a variety of reasons. BTW does anyone know when the green hull paint was changed to red? I assume it is some type of antifowling paint and perhaps there was an environmental bent to the change. Or not .

It is indeed antifowling paint. We have a real problem on the coast with aquatic chickens who, unfortunately, are attracted to green paint on ships, which they chew off with their clamshell like beaks and poison themselves. Animal rights activists were able to prove that they are repelled by red paint, hence the change. Used to be, back in the '60s and early '70s, depending on the tides, Horseshoe Bay could be full of aquatic chicken corpses, with their beaks a tell tale green. Thank goodness for antifowling paint.

I think I saw some pitchers of the chickens on PK's website.
