You're aware, DENelson, that these photos don't have to be taken on the "mainstream" routes? I think it would be pretty easy for somebody living in Courtenay to get to Little River (there's even bus service!), and there's this cool ship called the Queen of Burnaby that leaves Little River 4 times a day. If you're complaining that your photo won't be up as a flagship because you don't get on ferries enough, I think there's only one person to blame for that. I'm sorry if this comes across as a little bit harsh, but that's the way I see it. I agree with the moderators, that the people shown in a recognizable form in the flagship header should have given their permission. In fact, I'm going to take it another step, and say that I don't think anybody who is not a member of the forum should be included. My reasoning for that is simply that the photo that goes up there is there to represent this group. Not BC Ferries, BCFMWU, WSF, AMHS, Coastal Link, or any other organization.

Fair enough then, I'll withdraw my entry.

I really like this one because it looks like we're looking down upon the rest of the forum from header... and it also portrays me as being one of the tallest people there, which I'm not of course

Alright guys, just a little over two weeks until voting. I love all of the nominations I'm seeing already. But we haven't seen anymore pop up for a number of days now. So I'd like to motivate all of you to search your photo archives. I know we all have some good photos. Here's some more photos that I'm finding from other peoples photo accounts that I'm hoping to see on the ballot. My problematic prelude in action back when she was looking nice and spiffy with Esquimalt Queen in position through the sunroof while we drive aboard the Queen of Tsawwassen for the last time. Photo by Retro. Esquimalt Queens photo of the Queen of Richmond crew in command. Cheers.

Bahahah, Monsieur Ferryman, I love that photo that Mr. Retro took of me poking out of your Prelude...good times! That's definitely an "action" shot!

I don't usually enter the forum flagship/banner contest, because I can never find any photos that I like enough which fit within the banner size requirements. But since Chris is pleading for us to post some photos, I guess I'll nominate a couple of mine. I didn't find any photos that were easily cropped to the size requirements...this is all I have that would nicely fit into a banner...or at least all I've found so far: The larger version isn't that much larger: i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp227/Esquimalt-Queen/random%20stuff/DSC_0091.jpgand it's the same size, but here's the direct link if you need it: i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp227/Esquimalt-Queen/random%20stuff/IMGP4590.jpgI'm guessing they are too small. hmmm ............................................................................................................. I didn't feel like making an extra postI have made a point of making sure that I frame some of the pictures so they might look good in a banner-sized space. It has made it handy for doing banner entries, or just to have something to make new signature photos with. Thanks for the advice. Since I've finally decided to contribute to the banner contest, I'll definitely consider that!

I don't usually enter the forum flagship/banner contest, because I can never find any photos that I like enough which fit within the banner size requirements. I have always had a tendency to take pictures that fill the whole frame with the subject, for example, a ferry that expands beyond the edges of the picture. My last couple of solo trips, I have made a point of making sure that I frame some of the pictures so they might look good in a banner-sized space. It has made it handy for doing banner entries, or just to have something to make new signature photos with. It might be worth thinking about. Now, back to the topic at hand....
