I have only seen the Coastal Celebration twice - once on Oct 12th, and again three days later. Here are two photos, one taken on each day. Links to full size versions are here and here.

1. 2. Now how am I going to choose between items #1 & #2. I like them almost equally ! Seriously, is there a where's-Waldo hidden difference that I'm missing, other than subtle angle and cropping of clouds/sky? All that being said, thanks for posting your 2.1 pics. I admire the double-cecil.

Of those two, I think that the first is the sure bet, Curtis; framing to ballance a shot, such as the tree in the upper left, can never go wrong winner or not.

That is an Awesome Photo! It would make a great Holiday Banner.

Thanks, Curtis!
Maybe I'll use the un-cropped version of this photo to make Christmas cards for later this year. I think the C.Cel would look spiffy with a santa hat photoshopped onto her.

Maybe somehow that way: Thanks to Curtis, Esquimault Queen and Herr Brinkmann we just got a great submission for the December banner - a little early .

I will be away cat skiing and not returning to a computer until April 1st. This one, among all current submissions, gets my vote for its scenery shot and I really like how glassy calm the water is, making that front end shot look so good. If legit, can someone please chalk up a vote for this one for me come voting period?

The hat looks great, but the picture with the hat is too wide! Can we have it re sized so that it is 800 pixels wide as opposed to 960?

Here is my remedy to the magnificent Mr. Coastal Skier's request: My "Ferry Merry Christmas" cards are about to be ordered! ;D Excellently done, Mr. Brinkmann!! HO HO HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

....and I changed the offending (such a harsh word) pic in Brinkmann's post to a link, and then deleted same from the 2 replies that quoted it.
Nice to be skinny again.

If only a few clicks could do it - I would love the rights to that software program ! Then I could afford to buy the Lady Rose, the Sidney and a few others and establish a floating BC Maritime Museum.
