To influence the remaining votes -
it's going to feel absurd to have a snow picture in the month that it finally gets nice and warm. Not a criticism of the photo, just my mood lol.

I agree. #13 is a fabulous photo, but it sure seems more like a December photo, particularly with the font chosen for the title.

I think we either need to have a deciding round or those who voted for 1, 3, and 5, have to retract their vote to decide who wins.

I think we either need to have a deciding round or those who voted for 1, 3, and 5, have to retract their vote to decide who wins. How much of a vote would that be, if people have to take back their votes. (Maybe it's the STV system being implemented). We were living in a decocracy the last time I checked ;D. (Don't quote me on that one.)

What's a decocracy? Government by the most decorated individuals?

What's a democracy? Government by the most decorated individuals? You're getting close, but this isn't a thread for political rants. Let me rephrase that, and say that this is a vote, not a popularity contest, and we can't just issue an edict that everyone must follow the party line once one of the entries has a leading percentage of the votes. If someone wants only #12 twelve to win, now, then you should bribe the moderators, steal their powers, or otherwise influence them so that they can remove any vote not cast for #12 to ensure its position and its perceived popularity (at least among its supporters.) Isn't history always written by the victors anyway...? Whatever entry wins, I'm sure that the owner of the photo will be quick to bury the voting results, erase any evidence a vote took place, and declare itself the supreme forum flagship of all time, and also the most popular flagship of all time. Once the vote has been done away with, there will be no one to dispute the authority of the new supreme forum flagship ;D.

I asked my wife to look through the photos and tell me which one she liked best. She carefully looked them over and then said #13. She is not a member and can't vote. I then asked her what she thought about a snow scene for the April picture and she said "Well, there is that".
My opinion is that 13 would be great as the April header, but perhaps better yet as a snowy month header. So seeing as how winter does not seem to want to go away this year lets recognize that and make this our April header.
BTW, pictures 5 & 6 are mine. Of the two I like 5 better (I voted for it) because of the mix of colours, dock structures, etc. It was stitched together from five vertically oriented photos.

I'm appealing for someone to retract their vote, and choose #13. I'll give you bridge-tour of the Queen of Richmond tomorrow ;D
I love #13, because it's such a sharp shot, the snow is wonderful, and I love that curve of Active Pass by Miners Bay.
If you want to allow Bill Vanderzalm to give BC "A Fresh Start", then please vote for #13.

Tied at 13 with a little over a half-hour to go.
My vote still stands on #5 throughout this. Scott, Why did you even keep the "retract vote" button in there?

I know it is too early to decide Christmas but I certainly hope someone doesn't object to #13 being submitted when that time of the year rolls around. Presuming it is going to be entered then, my vote is for #6. *Flugel I voted before I saw your plea. So my vote has nothing to do with any animosity towards any possible gloating concerning that certain place with "Extensive Sand". or maybe not ;D.

Everyone should retract their votes and choose this summery Donella photo. I have taken small liberties with it to enhance colour, contrast, etc.

I'll bet it will snow in April now that we have all rejected the snowy photo. I voted for 13, I didn't care if there was snow in it because it was a nice picture and the only one taken in Active Pass. Oh well, 6 was my second choice, congrats to WCK for his second month in a row.

Scott, Why did you even keep the "retract vote" button in there? It is enabled with the intent that members who have made a mistake will be able to correct it. Or for those who follow the voting to the end, the ability to transfer their vote in the event that there is a tie, thus eliminating staff to pick the winner. Let me be clear that this option is not meant for members to be persuaded by others to vote for a specific entry.

LOL our flagships are turning into genuine low level elections. I am going to start phoning the members whose numbers I have and persuade them for my favourite next month

So the Coastals must be a Spaulding design after all. Herr Brinkmann must be Phil Spaulding reincarnated.
