For those who think the CHilliwack is the worst ship in the fleet, Beware!! She has a evil Twin sister! Yes that is the Queen of Chilliwack's twin sister. The 'Wack was once named Basto I, until she was brought over here in 1991.

I kinda like the new versions of the ship. Interesting in their own way. I like these newer versions of these ferries too, but compare all of these different ones to the original version: the S.S. Basto... www.faktaomfartyg.se/basto_II_1900.htmI've been thinking lately that we need to come up with a new word though because some of these designs just don't seem to fit the meaning embodied by the word 'ship' anymore. I've been having this internal conflict a lot with the Coastal Renaissance and sundry because they just really seem to have broken the mold with ship design with some of these And you never know, though... maybe Queen of Chilliwack is the evil one, and this twin is actually the nice one.

Actually, I was thinking that some of the designs for the Basto family might have been good ideas to base the intermediate vessel on because they are of an intermediate size but they also actually have semi enclosed decks, or at least visors to protect the deck openings when operating in open seas.
