Just as the summer arrives, they'll probably get rid of it.

I think I'll be making a ' frivolous' ferry trip myself, motivated in part by this sale (as with past sales). Usually my favorite such trip is to take the first sailing of the Queen of Nanaimo from Tsawwassen to Village Bay, Mayne Island, and transfer to the Queen of Cumberland to Swartz Bay, and then take route 1 back to Tsawwassen (maybe pop into Sidney first), but the sale is for the only two weekdays that this isn't possible, as, in the off-peak season, the Nanny's first trip out of Tsawwassen on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is delayed until 10:50am, missing the connection with route 5 to Swartz Bay. ..."Twist my rubber arm," as my Grandpa used to say: I'll just have to force myself to stop, smell the roses, and appreciate those members of our ageing fleet that will no longer be with us soon, the Vs (some of us can still appreciate our rich coastal history before it's gone >COUGHdaneCOUGH< )
