There has been a little change of plans for our trip...we will be going over on the 5:00 Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay ferry and then catching the 7:00 Skeena Queen to Fulford Harbour. From there we will bike to Ruckle Park and probably return via Long Harbour.

Sounds like loads of fun! I love SSI, it's a great place to bike. Make sure you visit Blackburn Lake.

Stop at Ganges. One of the funniest little towns on our coast (however, it cannot compare to Port Washington )

Change of plans once again...unfortunately we are returning on the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen route again. Oh well...more diversity.

You're right Chris. But only a few times a year preserves the classic passion for the ships. Anyhow...I'll talk to you all later on Sunday. I'll be back with some ferry pictures.

Well I'm back from Saltspring as of 4:00 today. Not much to say about the whole trip...I'll explain it better tomorrow. But here is the general outline: 3:30, Friday: Leave Langley 5:00: Catch Spirit of Vancouver Island to Swartz Bay. 6:30: Arrive at Swartz Bay 7:00 Catch Skeena Queen 7:30 Arrive at Fulford and head for Ruckle Park. Following day we went for a three-hour bike ride (one way) to Ganges and back. Very hilly. 12:00 (?), Sunday: catch Skeena Queen at Fulford; Bowen Queen is in Berth 2. 12:30: Arrive at Swartz Bay. 1:00: Catch Spirit of British Columbia back to Tsawwassen; skies clear over Active Pass and Strait of Georgia. Some interesting points about the trip.... - The Spirits are Big.
- I had an Ultimate Crunch Combo on both the Vancouver Island and British Columbia
- The Skeena Queen accelerates fast.
- Our campsite (which was a reserved group campsite, we were a group of scouts) had a wide-open view of the water and all the passing ferries.
- Outhouses suck
- I like ferries

Yes Doug, I like ferries and Ultimate Big Crunch Combos as well. And, you learned a very valuable lesson out of this trip: Make sure that where you camp, there is always hot showers and large washroom buildings.

My family owns an RV. And sometimes, I like to have a hot bath inside. That, my friend, is Camping 101 with Michael at Sushwap.
