I might take a day trip up to Denman and Hornby Island in August sometime. Anyone be interested in joining me?? We went up to Denman and Hornby last summer for a day trip. Hornby is really a neat island. Halliwell Park is awesome too with trails that go around the bluffs. You dont see any ferries really but the views are awesome of the strait and the mainland and Vancouver Island and the little 10 min ferry trips are neat too. My favorite trip is from Denman to Hornby!
Also planning to do a day trip to Bowen Island one day in August. These are some group day trips I thought would be fun to do. What do you guys think???

I'd go, but sorry to rain on your parade Karl, I'm gone for the entire portion of August

Karl, I'm going to be on Hornby with my family for a couple of weeks, I think mainly the first part of August. If the timing works out, perhaps I could show you a really nice walk up Mt Geoffrey. (From the top ridge, you can sometimes spot the Queen of Burnaby way to the north).

A few years ago I stayed at the Bradsdadsland campsite. Beautiful location.. and there are tons of nice trails on the island and beaches.

Bradsdadsland is the more quiet, family oriented campsite. Tribune Bay is popular with the heartier partier types.
