Sorry to make a bit of an irrevalent topic for the majority of members on this forum, but what can you do.
This topic is for Shane and Curtis..
This Saturday, my Family and I will be catching the 10:10am sailing out of Little River, to Powell River, and making our way home via the Jervis Inlet, and Langdale-Horseshoe Bay this Saturday. If either of you are interested in meeting up with me on one of the sailings I'll be taking (unsure of the Jervis Inlet sailing), you're more than welcome to join.
Just putting that out there, in case any of you were interested at all...

I don't think I can make it for the Comox Sailing. Possibly Jervis Inlet though but I have no idea how I'd get out there. But for Jervis Inlet you're probably going to have to wait for the 2:05 Sailing cause you're taking the 10:10 plus a hour and 20 minutes that's 11:30 then It'll take about...15-20 minutes to get to Saltery Bay from Westview.
But when "B" Class Teen (A.K.A. Micheal) arrives in Little River. I'd be happy to join him just need to know how long he's there for.

I'm there from the 6th to the 15th. I plan to get the 10:10 as well... do a round trip on the NIP, and come back on the 5:15pm.
Shane already said he'd come...'
Hey Chris: Are you doing the CirclePac, or what?

Alright, checking in from the same internet cafe as last night.....
Tomorrow I should be on the 10:10 sailing out of Comox, and now my parents are thinking about stopping at some festival in Powell River. So it would be hard to say if we would go directly to Saltery Bay (Earls Cove?) to catch the 2:05.

Alright, time's running out on the cafe computer, and will be the last time I check in for another 24 hours or so.....
So Curtis, you want to go on the Tsawwassen? The only problem is that I don't know if I'll take the 2:05, or the sailing after, so I'll send you a number to get in touch with me to see what's going on. That is, if you're interested still.
If I see any of you tomorrow on either the Comox route, Jervis Inlet route, or Route 3, or even the Powell River Festival thingy, then awesome. If not, oh well.

Oh BTW if I wasn't going to the Sea Fair Parade I would somehow join you On the Queen of Burnaby. But if the BC Ferries Float is in the parade you'd better bet I'll get photos of that. I might even go down to Sea Fair and get some pics of the Ferries from the beach

I just returned home now from a 13 hour long trek from Campbell River. The Burnaby is a nice ship, and was running right on time. We ended up just driving past the Sea Fair, as the weather wasn't being too pleasant. So instead we stopped by some weird Farmers Market up the hill. Then we high tailed it to Saltery Bay, and arrived there around 1:45. The Tsawwassen was running about 20 mins late. I thought the trip across the Jervis Inlet was an awesome trip. Great scenery, and I recommend it for anyone who haven't been on it yet. We also hit the dock at Earls Cove pretty hard, making all of the girls on the car deck standing at the bow, have a good scream. Pretty funny actually. But just as we thought we were making good time, we were stuck in a line of traffic just past Sechelt, due to a serious accident, which closed the highway for a few hours. That caused us to miss the 7:20 sailing out of Langdale. Which was fine because we didnt get to Langdale until 8:30. Once the Surrey arrived, and everyone boarded, we ended up waiting an extra 20 mins or so for a bus that was stuck in traffic.
Anyways, made it home, awesome trip for ferries this week, and I'll try and get some pics flowing in the next hour or so.

[quote author=mainlander101 board=generaltalk thread=1154046574 post=1154106490 Hey Chris: Are you doing the CirclePac, or what?[/quote]
Well, that's what we ended up doing. Except we didn't think about going home, via Powell River until Thursday, so we couldn't get the discount with the circlepac. With our boat and trailer, with 3 adults, it cost us about $200 to go to Horseshoe Bay from Comox on the Ferries. Plus $110 on Route 2 last Sunday. Definitely not cheap bringing a trailer!

Hey, my family owns a 22 footer, and I know how much of a rip off it is to get onto a route 30 ferry just so my family can drag it to Little River.

Owch, that would be even more expensive. Our SUV, and Boat, totalled about 38' in length. We only have a 16' boat.

No, not 38' tall. It was 38' long. I wouldn't know how tall it was, but it was still classed as an overheight, and it sure wasn't 38" or 38' tall.

It was 11 hours ago I was waking up in Comox, BC. I just got back from a vigerous travelling experience featuring a bad experience on Rte 2, as well as stuck in traffic on the Cassiar stretch. Yes, I'm back in Delta BC, with a whole lotta photos.
Had the dumbest experience on the North Island Princess where I ran into Curtis. But not Curtis Simonetta, the Curtis you know, no no. This was a different Curtis. A Curtis who did not seem very friendly about my introduction, as well as not being very talkitive. This Curtis did not know squat about BC Ferries, nore did not seem to know what vessel he was on. This Curtis liked to give his siblings small salty treats known as the heavily salted Tostitos. THis Curtis also had no idea where Shane was. Then, he never returned to the vessel for the return trip.
It turns out, the real Curtis Simonetta, was spotted by me, returning from the Washroom at a waiting room in Powell River. I wanted to make sure it was him by seeing he boarded the ferry, even though I stumble in my own stupidity, knowing that he had met every discription ever given to me by living man. In fact, it turns out that I had walked right in front of him when he was sitting with his mother on a bench at the terminus. So, we managed to meet up at a little dutch cafe accross the street from the ferry terminal. We talked for about an hour before I had to go get on the Queen of Burnaby bound for home. Which, in the end wsa an half an hour late "due to a full load." Sounds like BCF needs to reconsider scheduling. Also, due to the fact that there is only one berth at Westview, we also caused the North Island Princess being 25 minutes late as well.
So, a bit of a hassle, but we did mannage to meet each other in the end.
And, as an added bonus I had to run along the beach of Texada from a dirt road to the ferry terminal, and made it 5 minutes before our beloved North Island Princess set sail. And it sailed right on time.
Cheers, Michael
PS: Shane, can you shed some light on why you weren't there?
