OK so I know that the V-class' interiors (besides the sannich) aren't circa 1963-62, but when exactly were they last updated? Was it when they were lifted in the 80's? Is the seating original?

The seating was originally brown though right? And did the Queen of Victoria have that carpet pictured in the WAC photo when she was retired? I seem to remember her having her original carpet...

The dogwood carpeting was not original. It came at the time of stretching. As for the density of seating one must remember that the V's & B's as built had only 3 lounges on the Prom deck. The one just aft of the forward lounge was added as part of the stretching. If my memory is correct these ships were originally licenced to cary 1000. So the seating density would not be much different today then in 1960.

Does anyone remember when the orange/brown colour carpet, entered the interior of the Ferries? I seem to have a very vague memory of this carpet from when I was younger... This is me filming the Queen of Sidney...but focus on the carpet, and not me....haha... photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/p25456092.html

Yeah I remember that carpet. The last time I was on the Queen of Victoria I think she had that carpet which was like in 96 or 97 I think. Not sure when they changed it on the Queen of Vancouver and I am sure the Saanich was like that too.

There are photos showing that carpet in the Bannerman book - see page 131.
Also, on page 143 you can see the old green dogwood carpeting in the Sundeck buffet of one of the V's on Route 1 in the 1970's.
