I have a question. If BC Ferries is rebuilding both Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay for the Super Cs, why are they not rebuiding the Route 1 terminals?

Swartz Bay has aleady been done, with the Berth 2 rebuild. Plus Berth 5 at Tsawwassen is probably good enough, seeming the Spirits use it primarily. Unless, BCF is planning to change Berth 4 or 5 sometime next year, seeming the Coastal Celebration won't be on Route 1 until the late Spring of 2008.

the super c's will need a dock bigger then what is on route 2 right now. the spirits already use a larger berth so the upgrades on route 1 are not needed

I can understand the Spirit arguement, but what about tie-ups at night and off season? We can assume that the Spirits will still be the primary boats on Route 1.

There will only be One Super C on Route 1, so it will most likely be based out of Swartz Bay, and sit in Berth 2. If two Super C's get put on the run, then the SOBC will probably get the boot to berth 3 for the night. The Spirits sit in that berth when they're out of service. But I'm wondering if they're going to keep the Saanich around for a bit longer, so it will be based out of Tsawwassen, to take on the Vancouvers role, then the Vancouver and Esquimalt will either be used elsewhere, or retired.

I think the plan is two Super Cs on Route 2, plus one C. Two Cs on the Langdale run, then the Spirits, one Super C, and one C on Route 1. All of the Vs will be retired, sans the Saanich which could be a truck ferry.

I got the impression from Hahn's AGM talk that more than one V' might be kept around. And two C's on the Langdale route would be a considerable increase, if they were both full time. Hahn didn't mention the Saanich by name.

The V Class will probably provide extra truck service.
The Route 1 Schedule Will go like this 2 S Class year round, 1 Super C Class for summer and in winter Extra Sailings and acts as a Replacement Ferry for the S Class. And one C Class for summer service Which acts as a replacement vessel for other routes in winter.
On Route 2 it'll be like this Two Super C Class Year Round One C Class in Summer and at Peak Times and Also is a replacement Ship for the Super Cs and relief in winter
On Route 3 It's like this One C Class year Round and another for regular Summer service acts as relief in winter.
And Route 30 stays the Same. Unless they Use a V Class as A Extra Ship in Summer. Until a new Ship is ever built.
EDIT:They'll have Enough Ships

there was a discrepancy during the AGM for BCFS in Victoria a couple weeks ago...
During David Hahn's Speech the impression was given that the Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen terminal berth rebuilds, both Berth #2, cost about the same ammount.
During the CFO's speech it was stated that the rebuild of Berth #2 at Tsawwassen terminal cost less than the rebuild of Berth #2 at Swartz Bay terminal; why would they want to cover this up?

If they wanted to cover it up they wouldn't have had a discrepancy. He probably legitimatly did not know the exact figures. It's not all a big conspiracy...
