Anyone interested in taking a trip up to Rupert and the Charlottes next summer??? We can take the Sonia up to Prince Rupert then take the Rupert over to the Charlottes and do the Kwuna, then go back to Rupert then back to Port Hardy.
Or we could plan a positioning cruise on the Queen of Prince Rupert if BC Ferries has one as the Sonia would be taking over when ever she is ready for service. I dont know if they will have a positioning cruise south on the Rupert as who knows when the Sonia will be ready but if they actually did we could do that. Or even do the Inside Passage trip on March 21st which is the closest to the Queen of the North anniversary as we can get. I dont know though if I want to go up to Prince Rupert on the Rupert with no cabins. I would rather do it when the Sonia is on the run and take the Rupert to the Charlottes but I guess for people who havent been on the Rupert it might be cool. Any thoughts, who would be interested??? Just thought I would see how many people are interested in a trip like this next summer.

I'm holding out until 2010....once all the new Northern Ships are in place, and once it's my turn again in my family to choose the vacation destination. (family democracy, does it really work?)

yes.
Normally they allow public on in the fall when the Northern Vessel goes from Port Hardy to Tsawwassen, sometimes it goes the other way.

If there's a positioning cruise for the Sonia when she's ready for service. I think you should take that.

When the Sonia is here, and if she has a positioning cruise (or even if she doesn't) I'm going to make every effort to be on the first sailing. I assume some others on the board are the same way. If she's sailing from PR I will be using my family's Qualicum Beach house a staging point - anyone homeless on the Isl can contact me closer to the date, if need be, and we can use it as a Hostel
