Very interesting. You can see the SOVI sitting in Berth 1, and according to the vessel tracking maps, the Esquimalt is indeed in place of the SOVI. I wonder what's going on.

I wonder what's going on. maybe some minor maintenance. a rainy saturday evening in november might be a nice slow time to pull that vessel out of service for a few hours of maintenance

Sometimes during the off season I remember them pulling a Spirit out of like afternoon sailings for maintenance. That could be what they were doing.

Sometimes during the off season I remember them pulling a Spirit out of like afternoon sailings for maintenance. That could be what they were doing. Although there's normally a service notice several days ahead of scheduled maintenance.

Hi folks, the reason the SOVI was tied up in berth 1 was due to a steering gear problem.
