Hello Everyone!
I'm new here, and my name is Fiona. I have a couple funny ferry stories:
This past summer I was taking a couple kids that I babysit for a fiend trip to Bowen Island. We had a great time there, and the weather was nice. On the ferry back to Horseshoe Bay, Emma, who was six years old at the time, did not realise that the windows were double glazed. She looked forward into the window (not realizing that there was a piece of glass there) and said "Hey Fiona, look..." and BONK!!! Whacked her head rigt agains the window. She felt very silly and smiled, and then began to laugh. Her sister and I laughed to! It was quite funny!
Another funny experience happened when I was travelling with my parents in Europe in the summer '04. We were on the Calais-Dover route travelling from France to England through the English Channel. We were sitting at a booth talking and not too far away from us were a bunch of teenaged Boy Scouts. One of them came over to me and said that his friend really really wanted a kiss from me and could I please give him just one kiss! So I was like ummmmm...... uhhhhhhhhhh............ hmmmmmmmmm... I said I would give him a hug and my email, but nothing else. And when we were docked, I went to find them, but they had already left!
I did'nt want to give him anything else for fear of it all being a trick. But it was still quite flattering and funny!
yours, Fiona

Certain windows on the Capilano on double glassed. I dident think the ones at each end were. I know some along the side are. That second story was interesting, lol!

Haha! how lovely...
Welcome aboard. Please up and enjoy some of the amenities we have to offer onboard.
My funny story is when there were hillbillies onboard the Queen of Alberni who insisted the spelling of ferry was f-e-r-r-i-e due to BC Ferries being written on the side of the ship. Their logic: "...go look overboard and see for yourself." Of course, I never did this, I just smiled and gave dumb looks.
