The SOVI isent late just the SOBC. The Spirits transit active pass around the halfway point of the trip which would be around the 45min mark.

So that explains it. I was on the 10:10 sailing of the QoTsw today which actually left Tsw Terminal about 20 min late. Just after we left the QoVan left for Duke Point. As we neared Sturdies Bay the SoBC could be seen in the distance. Then I noticed it running north, apparently parallel to the shoreline of Galiano, then it disappeared. It must have returned to Tsw. A short time later, as we were just leaving Sturdies Bay the SoVI passed by heading for Tsw.
