Seems that every day since QoNW came back from her MLU, she's been having some issues, either mechanical or electrical! Today on top of the weather was no problem, and now it seems that they are pulling her on Tues 12 Dec and sliding QoVan back. Hopefully they can get her fixed properly this time and chase those nasty gremlins out!
Any insight from the regulars would be appreciated ... I sure hope this does not become standard post refit to have a broken vessel with gremlins .....
Guess if we want WORKING ferries we'll have to pay a MSC (maintenance surcharge) -- of course this would be calculated ON TOP of the FSC which seems to go up every 60 days....

I'm not very knoledgeable about the ' New West's maintenance history, but this certainly wasn't her MLU (Mid Life Upgrade) - which I'd be much more worried about having problems like this after. The QoNW's Major-Upgrade (She's too old for a Mid-Life Upgrade) comes next refit season.

I might do the 12:45pm Queen of New West from Duke Point on Friday if anyone wants to join me?? I was gonna do the 3:15pm Coquitlam roundtrip but I dont really want to go both ways on the Coquitlam so I might take the New West then hang out at the TSA Quay for a few hours then catch the Coquitlam back at 5:45pm.

I might be able to squeeze this one in - I'll know better tomorrow or the next day. For anyone who is at all interested, keep in mind that all sailings of route 30 on Friday are CoastSaver Sailings - $5 for foot passengers, for example Check it out @ www.bcferries.com/promotions/coastsaver.html

ah 5$ that's awesome. One nice thing about route 30 is that every sailing you can get on for only $5. Cant pass up that offer!
