Does anyone have an idea as to what the Nimpkish will be doing during summer 2007?

If my guessing is correct she is most likely to be helping the Queen of Chilliwack on the Discovery Coast Passage. But if she isn't she probably be moored next to the dock at Blubber Bay on Texada Island

If she's on the Discovery Coast Passage, does she stop at Port Hardy?

The Nimpkish does not normally stop at Port Hardy. This vessel is not suitable/legal for taking paying passengers across the open waters of Queen Charlotte Sound.
My guess is that she will not be used to supplement service on the Central (mid) Coast this coming summer. The schedule for the Chilliwack seems to be restored to the way it was in the summer of 2005 meaning that it will make regular calls at all ports. That means that the Nimpkish will not be needed.
She will be needed this spring when the Sonia enters service. I am fairly certain that the Sonia's rear will not fit in at any mid-coast location other than McLoughlin Bay.

I made an interesting note while looking at the schedule last night: The Nimpkish doesn't stop at Klemtu. I figure that there must be either open water or a long crossing time seperating Klemtu from the rest of the islands.

The Nimpkish will be around for a little while yet....she's only 33 years old, compared to her 47 year old sisters......

Where do you guys think the Nimpkish will be? Summer: Annual refit/ Blubber Bay, Texada Island Winter: Mid Coast See above. If she is on the Mid coast stops, where can I find the schedule for this? Pick up a copy of any "All Routes Schedules" at all BC Ferries Terminals and boats. Look under North Coast, and then Mid Coast. The Nimpkish only runs on certain days, and it won't be back up north until March 2nd, apparently. Or: Click Here to view schedules for Route 40 (Mid-Coast).She is right now on the Quadra-Cortes Island route, filling in for the Tenaka.
