Just heard on News1130 of unconfirmed reports that the Queen of Surrey had broken free from her berth at Langdale tonight with the heavy wind.
It's gusting over 100km/h out there... and once again trees are down all over the place including Stanley Park.

OH NO!!!
I know the wind can get pretty nasty in Langdale! It hits her broadside sometimes and knocks her about while she's in Berth 1. During heavy winds the rolling can be worse in dock then when we are underway.
And the news report says there is no one on board. That surprises me. When I used to come home on the last ferry, there was ALWAYS a maintenance crew boading while we were getting off.
If you look at the webcam of Langdale, it looks like she's there so I hope they've put her to rights again!

wow, that's crazy if that is true. It was windy in Victoria last night but it wasent too bad. Not damaging enough. I guess Vancouver got hit harder! I was summer back!!
