All of those plates are pretty much the same picture with different names.
Quite Nice Though

We've had countless discussions of how BC Ferries gets things wrong on their ferry pictures and postcards.. I guess it happened back then. Look at each of the photos - they're all different, and the plates themselves say the name of the ferry on them. Even though it's obvious the Queen of Victoria plate isn't the Queen of Victoria, the plate says it is.
The reason I'm bringing this up is because I've done business with the "idiot" before, and he's been professional and knows his ferries. You'll even find one of his models of the Queen of Vancouver in the BC Maritime Museum....

I was just going to say... I thought the eBay moniker looked familiar. So, you'll just have to live with the name on the plate being wrong, and just accept that it probably wasn't manufactured by the seller.

Well, I have been called an idiot before (Usually by drunken, socially challenged people , but not over something as trivial as this. Apology accepted..remember, mountains and mole hills......... YES, I knew full well it was not a V class, just chose not to mention it, but I have since changed it for those that makes them feel like having hot needles being jammed under their fingernails... I have since moved, and my house in need of some serious renovations to restore it to it's original character. I have focused on myself the past four years and now it is time to focus on my wife's hobby and our house. I have heard of people actually ending up in divorce court over collections, as sometimes they turn into obsessions and spending gets out of hand. This is why I appear to have "Dropped" off the radar....... So, as hard as a decision as it was (And it WAS tough), I am selling the bulk to help with renovations and the remainder will likely go to the museum. I know the value of alot of these items and would feel better about them going to those that have the dedicated space to display them and appreciate them as much as I have, rather than sit in storage at my place.

The only reason I said "idiot" because I thought it might be some guy trying to con people into buying all three because he thought the people buying might be stupid, but i guess this isn't the case ;D

Darren, It's great to hear from you again. All the best to you. Thanks Mike, all the best to you as well, it has been quite awhile but ALOT has changed on the homefront as you are now aware. I gotta say to you that I have not had to make as hard a decision as this one, but I take comfort in knowing that it will help to restore our home and help some others in their collection at the same time. I see it as a "Win/win" situation. The maritime museum will get my 1:208 of the original Alberni as a donation and as promised, along with some ephemera as well. Yes I needed some funds for the renos, but the museum will benefit truly, as I know they have NO models of the original C class, that being the Alberni in original form. I feel very at ease knowing the museum will have the City of Van and the Alberni for permanent display, as they were very important pieces of BC Ferry history. Sure I could have listed them on ebay, but truly feel that they are best served on display at the maritime museum. I am going to be listing pieces in near future from badges, to officer hats to menus to postcards. Just have to wait and see. At times I truly feel sad to have to do this, but I look at the "Big picture" and know I am doing what is necessary. Members on this board may benefit, maybe not. It's their choice. Given the earlier statement, just don't chastize me before you have the facts, after all, YOU have the option of clicking on "Ask seller a question" to put your concern forward. Rest assured and GUARANTEED, I will respond. Sorry I have been so absent, but my "New" life and home has taken precedent. I only hope that some of you on this board will benefit, given the amount of enthusiasm I have seen during my time here. I wish you all the best in your endeavors AND, if life ever slows down here, you just MIGHT see more of me again...... Regards, Darren (Brentwoodtreasures/BCFBCCSSCollector)
