Finally! I just knew the time would come when I could take a ferry just for the sake of taking a ferry. After having to drop somebody off at Victoria International Airport, I got to go see the Swartz Bay ferry terminal for only the second time in my life, and on the spur of the moment, I decided to board the ferry, making this my very first sailing on board an S-class ferry - the Spirit of British Columbia!  |

Was it up to your expectations? It was more than I could have expected. I had only been on that route once before, but that was in 1990, before the S-class vessels were even conceived, and I was a bit too young to appreciate the scenery of the Southern Gulf Islands. When I get back to my own place, I'll share with you some of the photos I took of my adventure. |
