Question: Are you travellling from Swartz Bay to Fulford round trip first? Then the same day Swartz Bay to Mayne / transfer then go to Galiano Island? Where are you off to after that? I will try to help you out cause I hate it when I post a question and no one answers.

Ok so you should be able to show your sail pass at Swartz Bay go round trip to Fulford Harbour (since you don't have to pay on the Saltspring side you can stay on the ferry), then go back up to the ticket booth present your sailpass and then travel out to Mayne and Galiano. It should work just fine that way. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok, I think this makes sense now. I can go on 20 different routes, but some of them can be more than once if I don't include another route on the trip. Is that how they do it? Because when I first got the sailpass I thought they were route numbers, and you can go on every route (except northern) once.

I think Swartz Bay to Fulford is a different route than Swartz Bay to the other Gulf Islands. So you should be able to do a round trip on both routes.

You are correct John, Swartz-Fulford is different from Swartz - SGI.

You are correct John, Swartz-Fulford is different from Swartz - SGI. Indeed, two different routes, the Fulford route being why Swartz Bay was a terminal long before BCFerries arrived (correct me if I'm wrong). Route 4 - Swartz Bay to Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring Island Current Vessel:'Century' Class Skeena Queenwww.geocities.com/ferries_bc/routes_bcf.html#route4Route 5 - Swartz Bay to Otter Bay on North Pender Island, Lyall Harbour on Saturna Island, Village Bay on Mayne Island and Sturdies Bay, through Active Pass, on Galiano Island (Including one trip per week on Sunday mornings during the summer by way of Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island) Current Regular Vessels:'Powell River' Class Mayne Queen and 'Cumberland' Class Queen of Cumberlandwww.geocities.com/ferries_bc/routes_bcf.html#route5

Did you get your Qs answered?
I am about to abuse another SailPass next week and you can inter-island hop all the southern Gulfs; they only time you get "checked" as sailing is from Tsawwassen or Swartz Bay, so you can only leave those terminals once. There is no spot for a "return" check to be put in for these routes, as it's not possible to return (1 trip on 4/5 is going and coming, that is)
Over two days I used a SailPass to get on all four vessels serving the area, only being checked off at Tsawwassen!
