This morning I went to Deas Pacific Marine and got to go on a tour of the Queen of Chilliwack. My pictures can be found on my website. www.queenofchilliwack.caIt was very cool to get to go onto the bridge and talk to some of the Machinists and Welders. I know most people dislike the Queen of Chilliwack, but my question is why? I think she is beautiful, albeit a little rusty.

That's awesome, cadmunkey.
How on earth were you able to get the permission to get aboard the vessel while at Deas? Did you simply phone them up telling them you want to build a highly detailed model of the ship? Or did coxnick help you out by putting in a good word out there for you?

Coxnick gave me some phone numbers that led to allot of people who were confused and couldn't spreaken thy englich very well, but eventually I got the right guy. Beyond that I don't want to share any more info as I don't feel it is right to do so (In his best Interests). I will although post any pictures I take. Although I wasn't allowed to take pictures of anything below the main car deck. It was pretty cool I had to wear a hard-hat and steel-toe boots. Sorry to be kind of a jerk and not let you guys in but this guy was doing this at his own expense.
Cheers,
