Thanks for the pics, Karl!
Now the question really is Where is the Queen of Esquimalt? I'm guessing she's at Deas, but I haven't passed by there to see since Friday. RBI has the QoVancouver doing the 6am/8am today/tomorrow out of TSA/SB, and the (edit:) Queen of Saanich isn't scheduled until the route 1 extras on Friday.
That'll be quite a sight: No berth 2, SoVI in berth 3, and Skeena Queen, QoCumverland and MayneQ all vying for berths 4 and 5.

Not in DB either, at least not as of last night. You must be right about Esqu being at Deas?

Yeah I might try and get on the SOVI on the 8th when I come back from the Albion Tour. See what she is like. Nothing different as she will be the same now as the SOBC!

That would be awesome if you could get both Spirits at Swartz Bay, simply take one of the Gulf Island ferries or head to Fulford Harbour and get the pic when the SOBC comes into Swartz Bay.

the Esquimalt wasn't at dea's sunday afternoon, that was the latest time i was by there, mind you the spirt hadn't left yet either, the chilly was there though Karl mentioned to me about the Esq handing the extra sailings on route one over to the QoVancouver, mid day, recently (as in the Esquimalt arrived @ TSA, and handed-off the baton, so to speak, to the Van, which made the Esq's trips from then on. I can't remember what day this was, though. Karl, do you remember?

Thought that I'd mention, since it hasn't yet (as far as I've read) been mentioned yet:
The SoVI, according to BCFerries.com's RBI, *Will* be back in service starting with the 7am departure from Swartz Bay on Thursday the 23rd of March!
Cheers, Graham

I work with a lady, whose husband is a 2nd-Officer for BC Ferries.
Quite often, he works at night, with crews that "move the extra ships around"; ships such as the Esquimalt.
On Monday, I asked her what ship her husband was working on these days, and she mentioned that he was on crew moving the Esquimalt from Swartz to somewhere on Sunday night - Monday morning.

Nice pictures Karl. The SoVI makes the Skeena Queen look tiny.

The Esquimalt headed to Tsawwassen at 8am on Monday morning then the Queen of Vancouver took over after that.

Thanks for the info Ultra Walker, Karl.

Now? The Alberni replacement isn't due to happen until mid-next-month
btw, just to note for those who earlier were wondering, up until Wednesday atleast, the Esquimalt was being helt at berth 1, Tsawwassen terminal.
