Wow! Traffic is really bad today! The Quadra Queen II is currently running approximately 45 minutes behind schedule, due to heavy traffic earlier today. The vessel will be working to make up this time over the remainder of the service day.

Ouch. The problem is, they are both big towns (around the size of Port McNeil), and they've only got one small 30 car ferry going between the three destinations.

It's not really a problem, traffic is really low on those routes. I was kind of suprised, but I guess given the fact how North it is it makes sense.

Full Ferry both ways - in off season.

Been to Alert Bay. Full Ferry both ways - in off season. Two sailings is not generalizable to the other 200 days of the off season. Just look at the ridership statistics. Some sailings will always be busier than others.
