Well it looks like the Queen of Prince Rupert will be doing day cruises on the Inside Passage route. She wont be doing it every day but each month lists the dates that she will be sailing. All sailings will depart at 6am and arrive at 12:30am. Then she will sail to the Charlottes on the days she aint doing the inside passage leaving Prince Rupert at 6am and laeving Skidegate at 3:30pm arriving back at Prince Rupert at 10pm. This should be interesting. On certain dates too she will be stopping at Mc Laughlin Bay making her arrival at 1am!. The Queen of Chilliwack is still doing the Discovery Coast route doing the 12 hour non stop sailings. www.bcferries.com/schedules/inside/qci-current.htmlwww.bcferries.com/schedules/inside/ip-current.htmlThere are the summer schedules!

Odd that they list the crossing time to Skidegate as 8 hours, yet schedule it as 6 1/2; they list the Inside Passage as 15 hrs, and schedule it for 18 1/2.

For more on this see the tread 'Summer Service to the Queen Charlottes??'
The QotN coud do the the IP route in 15 hours. The QPR can't, simple as that. The advertised time to QCI at 8 hours allows them to run slowly, saving fuel, and allowing them some padding for 'weather delays'.

I think they just haven't "fixed" that part of their website - those are the times from the true winter schedule and from the QON doing the Inside Passage.

Here's another update for the summer. QPR is doing 2 round trips a week on the PR-Charlotte Islands, 3 round trips a week on the Inside Passage, and 2 tug'n barge trips for commercial vehicles (Owch). The Discovery Coast will also be serviced by the Queen of Chilliwack doing only 3 non stop trips per week, from Port Hardy to Bella Coola. Plus the Nimpkish will continue to do the stops at Shearwater, Bella Bella, Klemtu, and Ocean Falls. www.bcferries.com/news/files/06-027nrthcoastsummerschedule.pdf
