It looks like the first Super C will be the Coastal Rennaissance. The work has begun on the first Super C today. The second will be the Coastal Inpiration then finally the Coastal Celebration. BC Ferries News Release www.bcferries.com/news/files/06-052constructionnewsupercclass.pdf Check it out! Looks like route 2 gets the first two Super C's and route 1 gets the Coastal Celebration the last one to be done. Right on I am getting excited, lol!

Just curious if anyone looked through the pics in the news release? If you noticed Hahn, he is looking a bit aged since last year, I wonder why? Perhaps it is like politicians with stress.

Here's a quote from the Press Release: Customers will have access to two passenger decks and a variety of new innovative facilities, including enhanced food and retail offerings, more comfortable seating areas and expanded services and amenities.Nicely worded, so that it could mean "anything", including premium-pay items. But today is a good day, as I too am excited about new ships. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance

That's interesting news. Hopefully there will be some sort of progress pics over the next 12 months.

Apparently the ships will each have a buffet, cafeteria, snack bar, coffee bar and a SeaWest Lounge.

If those amenities stay open for the entire trip, then there will be alot less lineups at the Cafeteria. Most people just want to get a coffee, and somthing small to eat. But the snack bar us usually closed.

I can see myself now in Summer 2008 boarding the New Intermidiate Ferry to Earls Cove a few weeks after I boarded it for the first time, then boarding the Queen of Surrey at Langdale, Coming into Horseshoe Bay get off go into the village, and then see the Coastal Rennaisance come into Horseshoe Bay thinking it one of the most amazing Ferries I've ever seen boarding it for the first time looking and taking pictures and having the time of my life, then off boarding and then board the newly upgraded Queen of Burnaby to Powell River. Everything on the Sunshine Coast and the HSB Nanaimo Route will be changed dramaticly in 2008. 2007 and 2008 will probably be two great years for BC Ferries. Finishing of major Upgrades to ships, launching of new ships, many things will be different. The future looks bright for BC Ferries.
