Haven't seen that in awhile. The Queen of Surrey and Coquitlam Haven't worked together on the Langdale route since... the Coquitlam went in for her MLU. Since the Surrey Fire It's Been Mostly the Esquimalt but almost never the Coquitlam untill now.

I can remember the Oak Bay and Surrey both running Route 3, a day or so after she returned from being repaired from the Fire. I remember that because I remember seeing the Oak Bay in expo colours, passing the Surrey in the latest scheme in Howe Sound. I can't recall the Coquitlam running with the Surrey on Route 3 ever though. So...anyone want to do a round trip on route 3 this Monday, because I have one of those feelings Graham is looking at the bus schedules right now to see when he can get down to Horseshoe Bay to get pics of this rare moment.

The Surrey and Coquitlam have worked on the Langdale Route together when the Coquitlam was still in Expo Colours But It was whe the Surrey had overloads.
For a Langdale Trip like that. My guess you would get on the 11:20 out of HSB with the Surrey. Get off at Langdale and instead of getting right back on you would watch the Surrey leave then Board the Coquitlam on the 1:30 Sailing.

Sounds like the Coq is back from refit a little early so they decided to make a couple of runs. She is due to take over for the Cow the next day. Get used to the Surrey and Coq being together. That will probably be the boats on Route 3 when the Super Cs are in service. On a side note, why is the Coq the red-headed stepchild of the C-Class? She is always the relief boat.

I remember in 2003 one time when the Oak Bay, Coquitlam, Cowichan and Esquimalt were all on Route 2...don't remember why though.

I remember in 2004 when only the Esquimalt was on Route 2 for half a day, Cow and Coqu previously failed and that Gen went on the Oak Bay. It would have been around August 28th? I was trying to get home all day.

Nice to see BC ferries has capitulated to all the complaints for route 3. I wonder what the schedule will be for route 2. It is still showing just the odd hour sailings.

Esquimalt on MDS I am sure. How dumb is that? Very dumb. It will be very busy on Friday, Sunday, and Monday so the Esquimalt should be scheduled to do two round trips leaving Departure Bay at 1130h and 1600h and return trips from Horseshoe Bay at 1345h and 1815h. This would allow for an MD at DBay at 2045h. Thanksgiving traffic is close to summer volumes so even one round trip on Saturday and Tuesday might be necessary. As for route 3, the Coquitlam better be on MD status on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

Thanksgiving is the only time I have been left behind as a foot passenger (DP-HSB)... needless to say, lets hope that route 2's traffic isn't too bad this weekend if the extra boat is with route 3

This afternoon, as I was driving through Lions Bay, I took a glance over at Langdale. I could clearly see the Coquitlam sitting in berth 2, and the Surrey arriving in berth 1. Defintely strange to see two C's down there.

Never see that alot. I can clearly imagine there being two ferries loading at Langdale at the same time.
