Queen of Tsawwassen Replacement Vessel

The Queen of Nanaimo will be out of service on the Tsawwassen to Southern Gulf Islands route commencing with the 8:35 p.m. sailing from Tsawwassen on Saturday, October 14 through Thursday, December 7, 2006 for annual refit. The refit includes a main engine overhaul, an upgrade of the car deck ventilation system and regulatory surveys.


During this period the Queen of Tsawwassen will be the replacement vessel. Because this is a smaller vessel than the Queen of Nanaimo some overloads may occur at peak sailing times. Reservations are recommended.


Alternate throughfare service to the Southern Gulf Islands is available on the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay route.


BC Ferries looks forward to the Queen of Nanaimo returning to service on Friday, December 8 prior to the busy holiday season.

Anyone up for a trip on the Tsawwassen again??? This time on route 9!

Yeah, I was just saying about it that's all. We have till December 8th to do it. Which is actually my bday that day but I will be Edmonton then.
