Just thought I would tell you ... here is the current update from the BCF website for service to the Charlottes:
Posted @ 6:15 pm on Tuesday, December 19
Due to ongoing storm force winds across Hecate Strait, the Queen of Prince Rupert is continuing to hold in port at Prince Rupert.
This is for a sailing that should have left Prince Rupert for Skidegate on Sunday at 11 PM - now almost 2 days late.
I live in Prince Rupert and my house overlooks the harbour at the other end of the Prince Rupert harbour from the ferry terminal. I came home for lunch today and was eating my lunch just gazing out over the harbour and what do I see - the QPR sailing past going down the harbour in the wrong direction!! I thought - WTF ... she was heading into Tuck Inlet - and Skidegate is the other way ... this used to happen when the QPR and the Queen of the North arrived in Rupert at the same time, usually on the weekend during the summer schedule. I didn't have my digital camera with me - but wow did the QPR look beat up - obviously came out of refit early.

Damn! 11 meter seas. They could make Perfect Storm 2 on the Rupert if they dared to sail.
