I guess I am unlike most people here. I like the look of the Capilano/Cumberland a lot better than the PRQ and sisters. They have cleaner lines, and seem more elegant. I always thought that the superstructure of the Bowen/Mayne was too boxy and taller than it should be.
I will say that the PRQ and sisters are fantastic for the task that they have been designed to do, and are extremely versatile, especially the PRQ with more overheight space.

...I sort of admire the Queen of Chilliwack because she just looks so solid and sturdy. It's funny that you say the Queen of Chilliwack looks so solid and sturdy. Even though she is Ice rated she rattles and vibrates like a small earthquake. Heh, what he said. ;D Never judge a book by its cover. I guess I should hurry up and post a video I filmed on the Queen of Chilliwack back in the spring, of the pile of coins toppling over due to the vibrations. O.k... You guys clearly have me beat... but I was speaking from from a purely aesthetic point of view anyway... But I think I can plead ignorance in this case because you know what...? I've only been on the Chilliwack once and guess when that was. The year she came into service! Looks like you guys need to plan another group trip so that I can get a chance to feel the vibes...

You have to realize that I love that ship. and I agree aesthetically she is solid looking. The lack of windows or openings in the car decks sets this feeling off I think. I think BC ferries should buy her sister and screw this Northern Explorer and Discovery newbuild junk and stick with the real pigs, not these fancy dancy masterpieces of German engineering and intuity.
Cheers,

Cheers, [sarcasm]You might be on to something...Get BC Ferries on the Phone if She's For Sale We could get her over here for less than it took to buy and get the NorAd here and rename her something such as Queen of Abbotsford[/sarcasm]
