Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night, as someone once said. or Happy Festivus, whatever it may be..... Try this one on: Festive Non-Denominational Statutory Government Holiday Season That's about as politically correct as I can sanitize it to ...

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope that all are stuffed with turkey by tonight! I recieved a couple of ferry gifts; a ceramic coaster with one of the Spirits on it. The second is a toy that resembles the NorEx complete with LIGHTS AND HORN!! I'll try and make a video of that when I figure out my camera. I got a case for the camera as well. PEACE TO ALL Mirrlees aka Rob

Merry Christmas, all..! I also recieved a couple ferry related gifts. My mother raided my ferry photos and sent two of them away to become the following: A machine woven blanket: And a watch:

Wow! That's such a neat blanket and watch! You should see if you could get BC Ferries to buy items like that off of you to put in the Gift shops.
The only things Ferry related (ferry related gifts has been a recent thing lately), was a copy of Evergreenfleets "Ferries on Puget Sound". Also the book, "Ships of Steel - British Columbias shipbuilding history".

Scott:
Does the time on your "Queen of Esquimalt watch" fall-behind regularly? Is it tough for the watch to keep-up the time-pace?
Maybe it will regularly break down on a long-weekend?

Scott: Does the time on your "Queen of Esquimalt watch" fall-behind regularly? Is it tough for the watch to keep-up the time-pace? Maybe it will regularly break down on a long-weekend? Hmmmmmm, now that you mention it I did throw out a piece of paper that was tucked nicely inside it. I only glanced at it briefly; mentioned something about the minute hand makes its way around every hour and 15 minutes due to its slower speed, and that it is extra susceptible to long weekend breakdowns...

Just think, in a few short months, that QoE watch will be upgraded with the CC edition!

Scott, in addition to the valid time related questions asked, do you get to join the watch in its trip to Turkey

Scott, in addition to the valid time related questions asked, do you get to join the watch in its trip to Turkey If I purchased a Queen of Tsawwassen watch in addition to the Queen of Esquimalt, I would have got the trip included as a free gift with purchase... I would just have to pay the shipping and handling...

Scott, in addition to the valid time related questions asked, do you get to join the watch in its trip to Turkey This of course would be a ONE-WAY trip, and upon arrival in Turkey, you would have to surrender the watch for scrapping (or pawning in this case). Also, while in Turkey to accompany the QoE, you would have to be very wary of the rumoured local organ-harvesting schemes ... Geez, hopefully my sarcasm will survive the new year and into '08.

I have no doubt your wit will flow over into '08. And btw I didn't know they had installed an "organ" on the QofE. Pipe or theatre?

And btw I didn't know they had installed an "organ" on the QofE. Pipe or theatre? I was more concerned that should Scott's gifts actually include a (delayed) trip on the Esq over to Turkey, that he would accidentally get caught up in a "recycling" scheme ... I have no inside information about chuch, pipe, steam, theatre or human organs having been installed aboard the Esq unless someone has been doing something naughty near a porthole or in a restricted space.
