Hasn't the Tachek had that cut in her bow for a while though...? Pictures from the Tachek tour last year when she was at Powell River show the bow notched out like that... or have they done the Tachek one different again? home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2382860520082215319oOeqba(from Shane's album)

Good point, MB. Here's another of Shane's, looking forward home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2421725240082215319QwvSZOIf the Tachek needs that for northern Gulf Islands ports, then what's the difference to down south here? The first thing that comes to mind for me is that the Tachek docks at Tsawwassen bow-to, but then again she was using berth 1, quite an old dock unless the ramp's been widened.

Those videos were great, Graham. I liked the one with the Nanaimo's whistle best. It reminds me of a trip I took on Q-Tsawwassen back in the early 90's, (For those that don't remember she was doing Swartz Bay-Gulf Islands). The Nanny was beside us at Village Bay when she let loose all three notes !! Man, that was LOUD!!! Thanks for the memories.
