I know for sure that the Alberni and the Oaky have spent time on route 1. And I will take the word of those of you who say that the Surrey and the Coquitlam have also spent time on that route. I would guess that this was happening prior to the arrival of the Spook vessels in 1993/94. To anyone's knowledge has the Cowichan ever operated in revenue service on route 1? Last, but not least, can anyone produce a picture or schedule showing the Surrey or Coquitlam being on route 1? I have seen an official BCF postcard labeled as being the Surrey shown working route 1. The Surrey is wearing the original classic BCF pastel blue dogwood scheme. Furthermore the vessel in the picture was actually the Oaky.

I am going to start a thread for forum members to discuss their observations or memories of vessels working routes that you would not expect to see them on. An example - the Saanich working a route other than 1.
