I am planning to postpone the route 30 trip till Sunday the 26th as I have to work the 19th which I did schedule off but never got it off for some reason Scott let me know if you cant make the 26th?? Who can go the 26th instead??? Intinerary would still be the same as before. Current plan for Islanders: - Meet at Duke Point at 12:15 - Meet up with mainlanders arriving from the 12:35 arrival of the Queen of Vancouver - Purchase tickets for the 1:05 sailing of the Queen of Vancouver - Explore ship during 2hr 20min crossing - Once at Tsawwassen, say goodbye to mainlanders - Purchase tickets for the 5:45 sailing of the Queen of Coquitlam - Explore the Tsawwassen terminal - Board the Queen of Coquitlam at 5:30 - Explore ship during 2hr crossing - Arrive at Duke Point at 7:45 - thus ending the trip. Current plan for Mainlanders wishing to meet up with Islanders: - Meet at Tsawwassen at 9:30 - Purchase tickets for the 10:25 sailing of the Queen of Vancouver - Explore ship during 2hr 20min crossing - Arrive at Duke Point at 12:35 - Meet up with Islanders in the Arrivals area - Purchase tickets for the 1:05 sailing of the Queen of Vancouver - Explore the ship during the 2hr 20 min crossing - Once at Tsawwassen, say good-bye to

Current plan for Mainlanders wishing to meet up with Islanders: - Once at Tsawwassen, say good-bye to Huh? How can you tell that this was copied and Pasted? Say goodbye to whom? The V's (Dane rejoices); The life of Coronation Street (we all rejoice); or perhaps Graham's Camera overboard (Jim rejoices because now he has no competition) Yeah, sure I guess I can come, I'll have to run this by in the parental department

I have a very very conditional "I'll go." It's too far away to know what I'm doing so I'll try and keep it open.

... also, is there a good place to park somewhat near Tsa so I don't have to pay?... then I'll just hop on the 620 to the ferry terminal.

Looks like we should have a good turnout then on Sunday. We should all meet at around 12:45pm once the Queen of Vancouver arrives at Duke Point. I will probably try and be there around 12:30pm or so.

Looks like we will be getting on route 30 for $5.00 on Sunday. www.bcferries.com/news/files/06-077newcoastsaversailingprogram.pdf Reduced fares up to 40% on select sailings on route 1 and 2 and ALL sailings on ROUTE 30! $20.00 for a car. So $25.00 for a car and passenger to go to the mainland during this discount period. That's pretty good! Although the the extra port fees and surcharges I think are still in effect.

Hey Dane,
There used to be a small Park and Ride lot right at Ladner Exchange. You'd probably still have to pay something, but not as much as at Tsawwassen. (Scott Road Station is $1 for the whole day.)
Should be pretty empty being a Sunday (no commuter traffic).
The Park and Sail lot by the last traffic light (before the causeway) charges just a bit under the parking at Tsawwassen ($7/24 hours).
I don't know if this helps you or not.

I'm sadly unavailable for this trip. Please find a stranger, and ask him to wear a yellow shirt and Tilley hat, and you can use him as your FlugelHorn for the day.
I look forward to see your pictures and reading your stories from the trip. Have fun.

haha, lol, Flugel is away in a non ferry land! With not a ferry in sight! I could walk to Drumheller in the -25 cold, to find the Bleriot ferry. I walked 5 blocks in Downtown Calgary last night in the -20 cold.....that was a new experience for me. 1 more week of cold in Alberta, and then it's back to the wet coast for me.

I don't think it's going to be that wet next week, Flugel. Southwestern BC is supposed to get a cold snap, starting on Monday, and is lasting throughout the week. It's expected that we're (Squag) is supposed to have windchills of -30 and -40 for the week, so I'll be skating and playing hockey on the Lakes next week!
Also, Dane. If you want to be cheap about going to Tsawwassen, you can go to Park Royal Mall at 09:45, and I'll come pick you up. Same goes for you, Jordan, if you've gotten quite a bit done of your paper, and you decide to go.
