I was thinking of doing a trip on the TSA on Saturday Nov 18th now seeing I dont have the 19th off to do the route 30 trip which has now been postponed a week. Anyone want to join me on this trip??? The Vancouver guys would have to take the 12:15pm direct sailing to Long Harbour arriving at 1:40pm. Then leaving Long Harbour at 3:35pm arriving at TSA at 6:35pm and I will be joining you guys at Otter Bay unless a few wanted to come to SB then to Fulford then share a cab to Long Harbour. I might do the trip either way who comes or not so I thought I would mention it as I would like to get on the TSA.

Another opportunity to get aboard the Queen of Tsawwassen in her old stomping grounds is always welcome, I'll plan on going if it happens.

Who will all be able to make it on Saturday??? I am doing the trip either way so whoever wants to join me can. I will be taking the TSA from Otter Bay to TSA so whoever comes from the mainland can either come over to Swartz Bay and meet up there and take the Cumbie to Otter Bay or can meet me onboard the TSA at Otter Bay. If you do that you would have to do the full roundtrip from TSA which isent too bad as the TSA is direct on Saturdays but coming back it does all the stops.

I think I'll be able to make this trip, on Saturday. I don't have any reason why I wouldn't be able to go....yet.
...Fingers crossed I won't have to work.....

Why did I look for "It is I, Biff Fisticuffs" somewhere in that Message? Or was it a little too obvious , eh HornbyGuy?

So who is planning to do route 9 on Saturday??? I was thinking if there are more than just me going, I would catch the 9am to TSA Saturday morning then meet up with whoever, then we would catch the 12:15pm Queen of Tsawwassen sailing direct to Long Harbour arriving at 1:40pm then hang around Long Harbour, take some photos, ect, then catch the TSA at 3:35pm back to TSA making the stops at Pender Mayne and Galiano arriving at 6:35pm then I will either catch the 7pm or 9pm back to Swartz Bay. Sounds like a long day for me but I thought I would try something different. Gotta try it just once! You will only get the die hard ferry fans doing something like that! lol!

ok so it looks like I am the first to post about the trip. hmm, that's a first! I am usually the last one to post, lol! I took the 9am SOBC to TSA where I waited till 11:30am till I met up with Airchime, if I remember correctly Alan. So then we waited for Chris and you know who, COUGHGrahamCOUGH! But by noon no one showed so we bought are tickets and boarded the TSA. Saw the Coquitlam and SOVI arrive. A bit choppy going across the strait but the rain held off so that was good. Arrived at Long Harbour and after a few mins there Mac and his dog show up. So we hung out at Long Harbour for the next hour or so. Hopped on the TSA at 3:35pm back to TSA. We had a surprise just after we left Galiano. We met up with Chris. He missed the TSA from TSA so if I remember correctly he took the SOVI to Swartz Bay then the Mayne Queen to Galiano where he boarded the TSA at Galiano and then found us. So yeah that was good. Arrived at TSA then I caught the 7pm home. I got a few videos too. One of the Coquitlam arriving at TSA on the TSA crossing the strait, and a few short ones at night which arent that great. I'll post them soon!

Neither Karl or I had done the direct Tsa-Long Harbour trip before, so it was kinda neat to head off to the right when we exited Active Pass. Sorry I don't have the names of the different waterways we took right in front of me, but eventually we made a sharp turn to starboard which put us on the path to the Long Harbour terminal. Cool shortcut!!
We were on the "milk run" on the way back to Tsawwassen and quickly loosing daylight by the time we left Pender Island. We were hanging out at the stern (watching the "Saanich" sail by) at Galiano, so we missed seeing Chris walk-on. He found us inside after we pulled away from the dock.
The crappy weather held off for us yesterday, which made the trip more pleasant. The $12.65 foot passenger fare from Tsawwassen to Saltspring kinda shocked the both of us. The ride back only cost us $6.40!!
Good trip, good weather, good company, can't ask for much more!

Sounds like a spectacular time. I wish I was there. But instead, I did a roundtrip on the Barnston Island Ferry, after a duck in a Guilford to see the South of Fraser transit plan, and you-know-who >coughMr.FancyCameracough<was supposed to attend (well, he never actually got back to me). My favourite
