I think I will do a seperate thread for this trip so we can get more replies to this trip.
Intinerary
The 21st or 28th of October are the dates to pick from. They are both on Saturdays, but are not on long weekends.
Here's the itinerary that I think might be able to fit most peoples schedules, which give members from the Island a small amount of time to catch the Route 2 Ferries:
8:30am - Everyone meets at Horseshoe Bay 9:20am - Queen of Surrey Departs Horsehoe Bay for Langdale 10:00am - Arrive at Langdale, begin journey to Earls Cove 11:30am - Arrive at Earls Cove (if we don't stop anywhere along the way) We leave cars at Earls Cove, and walk on as foot passengers 12:20am - Queen of Chilliwack departs Earls Cove for Saltery Bay 1:10pm - Arrive at Saltery Bay (...Now what..?) (Maybe Tour of Ship as someone said they know someone on that route) 3:30pm - Queen of Chilliwack departs Saltery Bay for Earls Cove 4:20pm - Arrive at Earls Cove, head for Langdale 5:50pm - Arrive at Langdale 6:30pm - Queen of Surrey Departs Langdale for Horseshoe Bay 7:10pm - Arrive at Horseshoe Bay, we all go back take off our BCF Enthusiest shirts and hats, and return to our normal lives
Who is interested in this trip??? Me and Chris were talking and those are the dates to choose from. I say the 21st would be good but I can do either one.
Who is the person who knows someone on the Jervis Inlet route??? Maybe we can get a tour during the layover, that would be sweet!

Maybe the 28th, for me, but deffinatley not that 21st.
I'd be much more available on Rememberance Day, but whatever.
So put me down as a maybe. But I don't think a Saturday will work. But don't revolve around my schedule, do whatever you like.
BTW: The person who know someone on the Wack is Curtis.

Depending on the day he works I can get us to the bridge and possibly the engine room. The Crew Change happens during the round trip you take so only half of the trip will be with him. All I need to do is inform him of this and we're set.
So who is all coming anyway?

Service Alert: Route 101 Langdale/Gibsons-Sechelt-Earls Cove-Saltery Bay
Expect Delays Posted September 29, 2006 Saltery Bay - Langdale
Starting Thursday, September 28, the water mains at Davis Bay are being replaced. Maintenance crews will be working on this project Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (excluding statutory holidays).
All traffic connecting between Langdale, Earls Cove and Saltery Bay will be affected, as this work is expected to result in delays of 30 to 45 minutes along the Sunshine Coast highway over the next two months.
Between September 28 and November 28, passengers are advised to expect possible traffic delays on Hwy 101 and allow additional time to make their desired sailing.
Updated information will be provided if there are any changes to the status of this project.

Sure, lets make it definite for the 21st. I don't have anything else scheduled that day, so it should be good.
So how are we gonna do this? Are we all gonna just pile into one or two vehicles? Karl, are you bringing your vehicle over? If I bring my parents SUV, I can take 7 people with me.

Well depends who is all going?? I can drive over as I will probably have to stay two nights in Van in order to do this trip so I can either bring my car up the Sunshine Coast or leave it at HSB. I dont mind driving up either way so if I brought my vehicle we would have plenty of room. Unless there was only 4 people going then we would only need one car, lol! Probably better to do this trip when we are doing it as might have better luck with the weather being it has been really nice lately. Hopefully we can have another good day for the Jervis Inlet trip!

The 21st Isn't going to work for me. Due to reasons that I can't get a ride because My parents are both out of town at the time.

Well that's too bad. We'll have to go up there again another time, to meet up with you guys.
My mother has told me she'd like to go on this trip with us....She loves going on the Ferries, and was the one who actually got me interested in them by keeping a few BC Ferry things for me...

Yeah that's too bad. Looks like there will only be a few of us. Chris and his mom, me, Graham and maybe Jordan.

Maybe we should hold it off for a little while since there's not too many of us going.

In our ferry-world, the "Ferry Mom" is just as much a unique-demographic as is the "Soccer Mom" or "Hockey Mom". Raise a toast to all the Ferry-Mom's out there!

Anyway Is there any chance it could be changed to the 28th or later. Cause it looks like I'm not able to get a ride.

It could be changed but I wont be going if it's on the 28th as I had that weekend scheduled off do this trip. I need to know in advance which is why I booked it off. It's up to Chris. I guess I dont really need to go anyways as I was on the Chilliwack this summer but I can always do it another time.

Well, I'd still like to go, regardless. The Chilliwack has been a ship I've wanted to take a trip on for a while now. I think we'll be back out there again soon sometime. With it just being Graham, Karl, Jordan (maybe?), my mother, and maybe dan and his mom/dad. That's still a fair turnout if you ask me, because it's better than going by myself! Shane and Curtis: Are you absolutely 100% sure that this is no other option for you guys having a way to get to/from Saltery Bay?

I'll be coming if my dad has off or if I can find a way to convince my mom again. This is probably the only way I can see the Chilliwak without going all the way north and she won't be around for long.
