So Bowen Island is still a go on Tuesday! I will be arriving at HSB around 11:15am or so to make the noon ferry to Bowen Island. Jordan we will probably meet onboard. CNR we will probably see in the lineup (no idea what he looks like), lol, or if not there onboard. After we get off we will figure out where we will go from there to the best viewing spots! Should be a fun day!

I'm a maybe. Most of you already know what I look like, and should pull up in a '95 Dodge Caravan, if the transmission didn't blow... I'll meet you onboard.

ah yes, I should be pulling up in New Flyer D60 or perhaps an Orion 1 or a New Flyer D40LF. I like taking transit.

Same here. Oh well, my van will break down sooner or later, then my family will have an excuse to replace it in which case a new 2006 Caravan will take it's place. For the time being, the more I rant about my van, the more my parents get me to take transit... Yup, that's the one.

Well, it looks like I'm first back (I got the immediate sailing at Snug Cove) and the members who attended are: Dane, Jordan, Mac, Tyler (CNR), Karl and myself.
Tyler approved of the hot dogs onboard, Dane complained about the overpriced sandwiches, Jordan found himself purchasing a coke out of the vending machine, Mac ate his medication, Karl I don't recall eating anything, And myself managed to scrounge up a few cents to slurp on a Coca Cola. I also had a sandwich at the village from Subway.
Photos will be uploaded tonite. Next scheduled to arrive: Dane, on the 3 pm. The rest will be on the 5pm or 6 pm sailings. I got the 12:30 pm.
BTW, don't try to get into the village with a car this weekend, if you don't want a cone through your windshield, as it was virtually impossible. We had to maneover around the cones into oncoming traffic, and then around more cones, and finally into the parkade.
Cheers
PS: The Queen of Capilano was juggled between berths 1 and 3, eventually arriving back at berth 1.

That was a fun trip. I got there in a mad rush after missing my bus out of Edgemont Village, so I ran down to Park Royal, and caught a 257 and managed to squeak on after running down the walkway.
We started by driving to some random beach at the other end of the Island then went to a good view point on the Queen Charlotte chanel, and saw the Oak Bay going by. Mac was making a bird call of some sort while we were there.
Afterwards we went to a restaurant in Snug Cove for some food (made Dane happy). Dane, Tyler, Mac and Myself caught the 4:00 back to Horseshoe Bay.
Karl is probably still on his way home.

Yeah I stayed on Bowen an hour later and took the 5pm back which wasent even full then took forever to get through Vancouver and I managed to catch the 8pm Queen of Saanich home! The Queen of Saanich is nice when she isent full! The funniest part of the sailing tonight coming back was hearing that some moron left his car running on the car deck as they annouced would the person of such and such car please return to your vehicle as your engine is running! lol! My god how could you be so stupid to leave your engine running. Also the last sailing of the Queen of Saanich they use berth 1 at SB then they move her after they finish loading as berth 3 dosent have an overhead walkway which was kind of interesting. I just got homea few mins ago!

Tyler approved of the hot dogs onboard, I dunno, that hot dog wasn't that great, worse than other ferry food.

Heavy traffic on the way home. 50 minutes of stopped traffic to get onto the second narrows.

Yeah, I did River Road at around 3:30; we came to a complete stop and traffic did not move for about a half an hour.

Heavy traffic on the way home. 50 minutes of stopped traffic to get onto the second narrows. There was an accident on Second Narrows last night. My 232 was 15 minutes late out of Edgemont Village as a result.
